GameCube

The Nintendo GameCube was Nintendo’s compact and uniquely designed next-generation console, first released in Japan in September 2001 at ¥25,000. It launched shortly after in North America in November 2001 for $199.99, and reached Europe in May 2002. The system went on to sell 21.74 million units worldwide, making it one of Nintendo’s most memorable early-2000s platforms.
The GameCube ran on a custom 32-bit IBM CPU clocked at 485 MHz, paired with the ATI-designed graphics processor at 162 MHz. It included 24 MB of high-speed main RAM along with an additional 16 MB of auxiliary memory, enabling fast load times and smooth performance for its era.
